Energy-efficient building
Energy-saving and passive houses are becoming more and more popular every year. The energy crisis, lack of raw materials, legal regulations are just few important issues that we should take into account when deciding on the choice of technology for building of an energy-efficient house.
Currently, in Poland, an energy-saving building is the one which has the demand for energy for heating up to 45 kWh/m2 per year. It is distinguished by a compact shape, thanks to which heat losses are limited to a minimum. How to achieve it?
PERMANENT FORMWORK (ICF)
What is ICF?
ICF, called permanent formwork, is most often in the form of a combination of polystyrene and concrete. It is a great alternative to traditional building methods. This technology is gaining great popularity all over the world, in every climatic zone.
So what are its advantages and what makes it stand out? First of all, it is characterized by excellent insulation parameters. The elements are resistant to weather conditions, and their use significantly shortens and facilitates the construction process, also reducing labor costs.
WHY IZODOM?
IZODOM technology
The IZODOM technology in the ICF standard is arranging polystyrene insulating elements constituting the formwork and filling it with concrete. In this way, a durable wall is created, which does not need to be additionally insulated.
IZODOM consists of over 100 elements for the construction of energy-saving and passive houses. The blocks connected with the use of the IZOClick® system (without mortar) create a continuous layer of thermal insulation, eliminating thermal bridges. Thanks to the IZODOM technology, the construction is faster and the investment costs are lower.

Construction with IZODOM technology resembles that of building blocks. Formwork is laid for the foundation slab and walls. They are then concreted to the height of the floor. After the concrete sets, the formwork elements are not removed, but remain and take over the role of thermal insulation. Construction is thus quick and easy.
